![]() ![]() Even the base is a little more realistic than some I have done. In many ways it’s more realistic a look than the typical sports bold bright colours of a typical Blood Bowl team. they do add nice light bits though which works for this model. Contrast ones tend to give a little more of a ‘washed out effect’ but that works on many models. This is was done with a mix of contrast and normal paints. I also tried to keep this reasonably basic with metals and basic shading. The blue tassel on the helmet skull was something of a last minute addition and I quite like to compared to the faded pink on his leggings. The skin tones maybe could have had more contrast but it works. So that means in the main browns and leather with a few specific but faded colours just to be a different. ![]() Nothing too flashy etc as his name and background to me do not call for that. Added to that, as a Orc I decided really on just to do workman like cloths. As a single model the pictures a a bit bigger than I normally show but they are what they are.Īs a star player I decided I did not want to paint it in any specific team colours. Now I have and it’s available for me to use. I have the model though and it is one to get done. He is too expensive for any of my Skaven teams – although would be a great addition to them. It’s also a decent Star Player for Orcs/Goblins and other teams (Snotlings are a good candidate). This is a model which comes in the Second Season box set and so there are a lot of them out there. So, I decided that I needed to get it completed and this week you get to see it as a quick post. I have finally managed to finish something after all these months, and I am quite happy with how they turned out.I have been playing blood bowl fairly frequently for the last year and this model has been on the painting table sort of ‘half done’ for most of that time. I am also going to post updates on him on Instagram, plus I am planning some live videos on him so have a look for them too! He is currently in my workbench getting some paint and he will get his photos once he is finished, so keep your eyes on this spot for more. One big (in the quite literal manner) absence from this group photoshoot is my troll. I built him using bits from the old Goblin kit and adding a wire frame to create the blood bowl helmet. Last, but definitely not least, the Goblin of the team. Of course the backbone of the orc team, the Linemen, couldn’t be absent, so here they are in all their black and yellow glory! Staying to the positionals, the Throwers are straight from the box, although one too many, I painted both to complete the team. Nothing fancy here as you may probably see. Same problem here, I had to build 2 and again my Ork bitz box came in handy. The model is built using all sorts of bits and pieces from the (mostly Warhammer 40K) Ork range, the body of a Nob, the hand of an Ogre, and shoulder pads from Space Marines and a Dreadnought (yes you heard that right :P )īlitzers are a must in any Orc team and I had to include 4 of them. I may eventually build another one whenever I decide to play them again. I have eventually managed to buy one back later on in the league, so I decided to build only one out the initial 2 extras that I had on my roster. Where is the second one you ask? Well, in the very first game that I have played one of them died, and then in my second one I lost another one. So, I have decided to build my own Black Orcs, one of them you can see in the pictures above. ![]() I had decided to play with 4 Black orcs and 4 Blitzers, and I had only 2 of each available in the box. I have decided to stick to the original colour scheme, mostly because I love painting yellow (those of you that follow me all these years might have figured it out ) ), but also because I think yellow suits Orcs wonderfully! The ModelsĪs I was building my team, I have stumbled upon a problem that I’m sure most orc players have, the absence of Black Orcs and Blitzers from the basic sprue. 2.1) Blood Bowl Stuff Orcland Raiders Galleryīeing a quite slow painter, I have just managed to finish up my Blood Bowl Orc team, the famous Orcland Raiders. ![]()
